Forest Hills Gardens resident and Kew-Forest School graduate Whitney Schott is joined by graduation keynote speaker and former NYC Mayor David Dinkins and school's headmaster Mark Fish after the graduation ceremonies on Sunday.

Schott is an accomplished tennis player and will represent the school in the NYC Mayor's Cup 2013 this month. She also plans to attend Mount Holyoke in the fall, where she will play on the tennis team as well.

As one of the more ethnically diverse private schools in the country, Dinkins told Kew-Forest graduates to, “speak out against any wrongs” they witness and to “help others less fortunate.”

Mr. Fish quoted Francis of Assisi, encouraging the new graduates to, “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
