Dear Editor,

To clarify a few things in Mr. James Dillon’s letter (Ye Olde LIC – January 17), the parking lot to which he refers sat on the site of the old St. John's Hospital. Long Island City needed a hospital - or even a parking lot - more than it needed Citi's back office.

Also, a free transfer between the G and E and F trains (which ran on the same track at the time) already existed one stop over at Queens Plaza. As for the tiny library, it was just that: tiny.

Perhaps so few Long Island City residents turned out for the anti-Amazon protests because we have to work for a living.
