The summer is getting a little bit sweeter.

The summer edition of Dessert Goals festival is happening in Williamsburg this weekend.

Originally launched in fall 2016 by founders Miraya Berke and Liang Shi, the festival has grown exponentially, becoming a bi-coastal staple for those who crave all things sweet.

New this season are tasty treats from Butter and Scotch, Mahalo New York Bakery, Lickety Split, Snowdays, Cupcake Market and Black Tap. Crowd favorites Underwest Donuts, Rebecca’s Cake Pops, Joey Bats and Stache of Goods are making a return. Black Tap, which took social media by storm for their over-the-top milkshakes, will create their ‘Bam Bam’ shake in miniature form for festival goers.

Free candy from the ultimate candy store, Dylan’s Candy Bar, and a salty snack bar to “cleanse” your buds will also be back for your enjoyment.

It’s not all about taste, however. One of the most-talked about aspects of the festival is its focus on photography and interactive workshops. Food, design and social media workshops led by industry pros like Lauren Magenta and Julia Choi. Learn how to turn dessert into colorful photography with Color Collective and create dessert-themed sunglasses with Michelle Bablo, founder of Hell Yes Design Studio, among other cool workshops.

And heads up, Macy’s will be incorporating the first ever festival fashion runway designed specifically for Boomerang.

Tickets range from $15 to $50. Those who purchase the Extra Sugar Rush tickets will have access to two hours of the event while general admission tickets are 90 minutes.
