Any fashion trend that you see this summer will have the same common thread: COLOR. Any fashion publication, celebrity news or movie will tell you, “brights are in; drab is out”. With that being said, how are colors of the world conceived?

All color enthusiasts bow to one superior power: Pantone. The Pantone Corporation provides color inspiration and ideas to businesses around the world. Interior, fashion, auto and advertising are just some of the many industries that use Pantone color services and products to transpire their ideas and products to customers. The 1000’s of colors that are born from Pantone give us the creative freedom to exhibit palettes and color stories that bring products to life beyond words.

As inspired as we were about color this season, we hit the streets to see who colored our world.

Meet Risa: Art Teacher (First photo)

Seen on: Austin Street in Forest Hills.

Her favorite colors for her wardrobe consist of turquoise, royal blue and magenta. You won’t find yellows or reds in this fashionista’s closet. Her attitude and self-expressions show that she lives for color in her clothes. With her 75 pair of platform shoes, it’s no wonder she takes her individual style and couples that with her fluidity of color to create looks that most people her age don’t have the guts to pull off.

Meet Elise (Second photo, left): Freelance Furniture Designer and Hannah (right): Freelance Media and Television Producer

Seen at: McCaren Park in Williamsburg

These best buds told us that wearing color is their main inspiration when shopping for pieces in their wardrobe. Their confidence radiated as we asked them what colors they prefer to wear. “There’s no such thing as clashing”, said Hannah. “I mix all colors and patterns”. While Elise only wears brights and whites, she confessed, “I am drawn to reds, yellows and navys”. “As much as I love color my favorite dress is solid white.”

Meet Nina (Third photo, left): Actress and Ignacia (right): Arts Administration

The color from the dresses of these two transitions into true radiance. Nina, an actress loves yellows, purples, reds and oranges. You won’t find any blacks or whites in her closet-an unusual yet impressive wardrobe rule that exuberate her style and confidence.

For Ignacisa, it’s romantic colors and feminine prints. Purples and pinks are at the top of her list. As much as Ignacia loves color, you won’t find any plaids within miles of her closet. Her inspiration for dressing comes from 1950’s Hollywood paired with traditional dress bodies and classic lines. A true example of elegance and feminine style!

Stay tuned as we will be hitting the streets to find which fashionistas are wearing more color. Your just might be our next fashion subject!
