Charles J. Deninger, 97, died December 7, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital.
He was born December 26, 1915 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles and Margaret (Herbert) Deninger. He attended public school #72 in Maspeth, Queens and graduated from Brooklyn Technical high school.
Charles married Frances L. Werner on November 26, 1938 in Brooklyn; she preceded him in death on February 1, 1993. He married L. Marlena Wilmot in Longmont on May 14, 1998 and she also preceded him in death on November 25, 2002.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Navy stationed aboard the USS Alaska.
Charles was employed as a heavy equipment inspector and stationary engineer for the City of New York. He retired in December 1969. Following his retirement he and Frances moved to Longmont from Valley Stream, New York.
He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters Grace Speiss, Midgie DeCelio, Dorothy Zaradka, and May Deninger.
Charles is survived by his daughter Carole Medina of Oklahoma, three grandchildren Meri-Sue Bachlor (husband Dave), Tracy-Anne Rademacher-Hamilton (husband Gary) and Robert Medina; great grandchildren Jennifer and Jeff Rademacher, Randi-Jo Bachlor, and Shane Zimmerman, his great-great granddaughter Maddison Zimmerman, sister-in-law Mildred Near and his dear friend Louise Hawkins of Longmont.
