Officers cleared the 20-story structure where the gunshot was reported and found nothing, Montgomery County police said on Twitter. A call to police reporting the sound of a gunshot triggered the lockdown at the 240-acre (98-hectare) hospital campus in Bethesda, Maryland, and a massive security response.

The foreign ministers of the six powers - Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States - met on Monday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamed Javad Zarif - and were expected to meet again soon - to try to strike a deal by Tuesday night.

The European Central Bank kept Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) steady for Greek banks but adjusted the haircut on the collateral those lenders offer as security, the ECB said on Monday. "The Governing Council of the European Central Bank decided today to maintain the provision of ELA to Greek banks at the level decided on 26 June 2015 after discussing a proposal from the Bank of Greece," the ECB said in a statement.
