Sunday, November 8, 2009, 2:00 PM Nivedita ShivRaj, FCCA composer in residence, will perform instrumental music from South India blended with western music. The ancient string instrument, Veena, explores the complex ragas, the basis of Indian classical music, while providing a one of-a-kind East-West experience. Nivedita ShivRaj will present her own compositions on the Veena with Jazz Guitarist Jason Goldstein on the guitar and vocalist Samyuktha ShivRaj on the vocals.
