The Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation sponsored “Spring Is Here” Dinner Dance, also celebrating the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation’s 35th Anniversary, will be in full swing. In line with the theme, the ladies are encouraged to wear warm spring colors.
Our honorees for 2014 are so important to our Woodhaven. Our 2014 Honorees are Congresswoman Nydia M. Velazquez as “Woman of the Year 2014” in recognition and sincere appreciation for her concerned efforts in supporting the Woodhaven Business Improvement District’s small business and store owners.
Mathew Xenakis, president of the Woodhaven Business Improvement District, is “Man of the Year 2014” in recognitionof his concerted effort, support and friendship to the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation.
Deputy Inspector Henry Sautner, commanding officer of the 102nd Precinct, will be given the “Award of Distinction 2014” in recognition and sincere appreciation for his work at the 102nd Precinct. His continued support of the GWDC has contributed to making Woodhaven “A Haven In The City.”
George Smith gets the “Honorary Woodhavenite Award 2014” in recognition and sincere appreciation for his many years as a dedicated businessman assisting the Wonderful Woodhaven Street festivals the past 22 years. Although not a Woodhaven resident, he has demonstrated his dedication and commitment to our Woodhaven community.
State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo and Assemblyman Michael G. Miller will be given “Awards of Appreciation 2014” in sincere appreciation of their support and friendship to the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation.
