Life Church began about a year ago and has been holding services on 175th Street in Jamaica, which it will continue to do during the week. April 13 marked the first of their Sunday services in Glendale.
Lead Pastor Josh Jagessar led Sunday’s service in song and prayer.
“We believe that the church is not a platform for judgment, but rather an outlet of grace,” Pastor Josh said.
He and his wife and fellow pastor, Andrea, emphasized their focus on children and young people in their church.
“We wanted to create an atmosphere for young kids that we didn’t have when we were growing up,” Andrea said. “And that is that you are free to be who you are in the presence of God.”
“We believe in our children and their future,” Pastor Josh said. “We believe that our influence with the help of God can change the course of their tomorrow.”
In that vein, Life Church will host a free Easter egg hunt this Sunday at the mall, which all are invited to attend.
