20/20 Eye Care of Middle Village at 82-20A Eliot Ave. celebrated its grand opening this past weekend.

“We have a great atmosphere, we’re very family oriented and I personally remember my patients first names and what type of purchase they made,” said Dr. Melania Napolitano, optometrist and co-owner. “We care about our customers, we want them to come back and we offer them the best services we possibly can.”

Offering a wide variety of sunglasses and eyeglasses, the new facility accepts most insurances, according to Napolitano. The new facility also offers comprehensive eye care exams, contact lens fittings and treatment for glaucoma, dry eyes and red eye.

Originally from Naples, Italy, Napolitano first moved to Middle Village with her family in 1995 and has been here ever since.

“We’re from the neighborhood, we love the neighborhood, so we decided to open our second location here,” she said, referring to the other location in Mineola.
