The annual Taste of Queens food expo attracted over 1,000 food lovers to Citi Field on May 14 to sample some of the borough tastiest treats and help decide who really has the best in the borough.

Over 50 restaurants set up for the tasting competition, sponsored by the Queens Economic Development Corporation, to meet with other culinary specialists and have their dishes thoroughly sampled, deliberated and scrutinized.

In the end, the burgers at Woodside’s Ottomanelli’s, located at 6105 Woodside Ave., and the Chicken Milanese from the Pine Restaurant, at 3710 114th St. in Corona, tied for the honor of Best Entree, while Take a Break & I’ll Bake took home the award for Best Desert.

In a stunning borough coup, Brooklyn's McClure’s Pickles won Best Appetizer for their spicy gherkins.
