The next monthly meeting of Community Board 5 will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m., atChrist the King Regional High School, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village.

The agenda includes a presentation regarding Plans for a Newtown Creek Oxygen Aeration System planned for 58-26 47th Street; a presentation regarding the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, scheduled for June 22nd and June 23rd at Juniper Valley Park; a review of current applications for the sale of alcoholic beverages; a review of current demolition notices; committee reports; nominations for Executive Committee positions; and the public forum.

A community forum will be conducted for Designing Bicycle Treatments in Community Board 5 to include planning safe routes for bicyclists in the communities of Ridgewood, Maspeth, Middle Village and Glendale.

The district also includes small portions of Woodside, Rego Park and Elmhurst.

The event is a collaboration between Board 5, the Department of City Planning, and Department of Transportation.

The forum will be held on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a. m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria of Maspeth High School, which is located at 54-40 74th Street, between 57th and Grand avenues.
